Prof. Kawae visited us!

Prof. Kawae from Kyushu University visited us and gave a special seminar supported by Japan Physical Society, Hokuriku Branch and the bottom-up research project of condensed matter physics division of Kanazawa University. The title of his talk was “Quantum physical properties of low-temperature hydrogen absorbed metals ” and the talk is mainly about researches on Pd hydrides by using mechanical break junctions and a miniature 3He cryostat for the SQUID magnetometer MPMS. Through his talk, we could see his exciting research style in which he is never satisfied with the same kind of researches and challenges to a new field of researches with his excellent experimental skills. His talk stimulated us a lot. After his talk, the faculties in the ULT group shared their current research topic and interests for future collaboration within the bottom-up research project of condensed matter physics division and gave a brief lab tour. Thanks for visiting us, Prof. Kawae!
