吉田さん、新井先生、北陸先端科学技術大学院大学の安先生、高村先生、東大物性研の土師先生、田中先生が主体となって3月10日、11日にNanospec2021がオンライン開催されました。この会議は、兵庫県にある世界最高性能の大型放射光施設Spring-8の関係者（顕微ナノ材料研究会）、日本表面真空学会の放射光表面科学部会、プローブ顕微鏡部会の3つの団体が毎年合同で行っているシンポジウムで、2020年3月に近江町市場近くの金沢大学サテライトプラザで開催予定でした。今人気の金沢での開催ということもあって、日本の放射光科学、表面科学、プローブ顕微鏡、物性物理を牽引する先生方が招待講演を引き受けて下さいましたが、昨年はコロナの影響で延期せざるを得なくなりました。今年もギリギリまで現地開催を目指していましたが、コロナの感染状況の改善しなかったことで、ZOOMとRemoを併用したオンライン開催となりました。金沢に皆さんを迎えることができなかったのは大変残念でしたが、オンライン開催であることの利点もありました。オンラインだと移動する必要が無いことから参加がしやすいためか、206名の登録、10日と11日の参加者数が、それぞれ148名と122名、またポスター発表者も28名に学生賞のエントリーも14名と例年になく多くの方が参加して下さり、大変盛会となりました。最先端の研究に関する刺激的で面白い講演をしてくださった招待講演の先生方、ポスター講演者の皆様、参加して下さった皆様、また座長やポスター賞の審査委員など運営に関わってくださった先生方、本当にありがとうございました。我らが牧野君も2日間、タイムキーパーとして頑張ってくれました。牧野君にとっては初の学会参加となりました。お疲れさまでした。次回のシンポジウムでは是非発表できるように頑張って下さい！
Nanospec2021 was held online on March 10th and 11th. Yoshida-san, Prof. Arai in Kanazawa University, Prof. An and Prof. Takamura in JAIST, Dr. Haze and Dr. Tanaka in ISSP, University of Tokyo mainly contributed as organizing committee members. This conference is held yearly by Microscopic Nano material science group (Spring-8 related scientists) and two divisions of in Surface Science Society of Japan (synchrotron radiation surface science research and scanning probe microscopy research). We originally planed to organize this conference in the satellite plaza of Kanazawa University near Oumicho fish market in the downtown of Kanazawa last year, but had to postpone it due to the Covid19 pandemic. Although we were very sorry that we could not welcome speakers and participants to Kanazawa, we experienced a great benefit of online-conference. For this online conference, 206 people were registered and the number of the total participants for two days were 270. The number of posters and entries to the student prize are much more than previous conferences. Many thanks to great invited speakers, poster presenters, organizing committee members and all the other participants! Makino-kun made a great contribution to the conference as the time keeper for two days. Good job, Makino-kun! We look forward to your poster in the next Nanospec!
