タイのキングモンクット工科大学トンブリ校から、2ヶ月間のリサーチインターンシップ生として研究に参加してくれていたHIさんとSanooさんがプログラムのまとめとなる発表をしてくれました。HIさんとSanooさんは、稲垣君、輪島君と共にインジウムワイヤーの再生の手伝いに始まり、傳田君とTim君の低温STMの立ち上げの手伝い、そして今回発表してくれたMPMSの低温化に向けた3Heインサートの冷却テストに積極的に参加してくれました。まだ大学3年生にも関わらず、二週間くらい前から二人で勉強して、頑張って発表の準備してくれました。発表では、低温工学の一般的な説明から、何故3Heの液化が今回大変だったのかなど、実験における試行錯誤も紹介してくれました。最後には、経験したすべての実験・作業における感想とグループメンバーへの感謝を述べてくれました。発表の後には、吉田さんからプログラムの修了賞と記念のマグカップが渡されました。HIさん、Sanooさん、2ヶ月間おつかれさまでした。次回は是非大学院生として、金沢大学に来てください！

Our research internship students, HI and Sanoo from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand, gave a final presentation of the internship program. They helped Wataru and Yuki for recycling In wires for In-seal, helped Naoki and Tim for setting up LT-STM, and then joined Dr. Shimamura’s experiment of test cooling of 3He insert for MPMS. Even though they are junior undergraduate students, they studied hard about low-temperature physics and cryogenics with Pobell’s low-temperature text book and papers on 3He insert for MPMS for the presentation. In the presentation, they explained general introduction about low-temperature and cryogenics and then explained our struggle on condensing 3He gas into liquid and solution we took. At the end of the talk, Yasuo gave them a certificate for finishing the program and a mag cup as a gift. Thanks for joining us, HI and Sanoo and please come back as graduate student of KU next time.
