東京大学物性研究所の勝本先生から受け継いだ極低温・強磁場STMがついに金沢大学に搬入されました。搬入には、窓を外したりと大がかりな作業が必要でしたが、何とか無事に搬入されました。STMとして動作させるためには、低温部の設計や、真空コンポーネントの買い足しなど、色々とやらなければならないことがありますが、とりあえず研究が始まった感があって嬉しいです。金沢発の成果を早く出せるように頑張ります。

Finally, the low-temperature/high-magnetic-field STM, which was given by Prof. Katsumoto at ISSP, University of Tokyo, was moved in Kanazawa University. We had to remove windows to install the instrument. We have many things to do, for instance, designing low-temperature parts, wiring, buying UHV components, in order to make this system work, but anyway the system is here and I feel like that our research finally gets started! We will try hard to get a first STM results from Kanazawa.
